Boyet and Majoy, their love story is one that is rare, except if Boyet were a foreigner and looking for a mail-order bride. But imagine, both only saw each other twice before getting married! I don’t know how you’d call it but I think it’s amazing.
It was our last wedding of 2014 and boy did it give us lasting memories. The wedding day was the day before Typhoon Seniang made landfall. The reception was held in Kuting Reef Resort and Spa in a small town of Macrohon, Southern Leyte and if not for the heavy downpour, it would have been a very nice beach setup. But despite that, the day ended full of love and promise even though the rain continued to fall on our way back to the place we were staying.
The next day was another story though. We were supposed to be leaving back to Cebu when all trips were cancelled. So we had no choice but to stay there for another day, or so we thought until finding out that trips were still cancelled the after. However, during our extended stay we were treated as special persons and came to know more about Majoy’s family, the Madrona family, more and rediscovered the Filipino hospitality to the highest level. We not only made new friends but more like new family. Kudos to “mader” and “pader”!
